18-20 Year Old Waiting Periods

McRorey v. Garland

When Congress passed the so-called “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act," or the Cornyn-Murphy Gun Compromise, it enacted more unconstitutional restrictions on background checks which targeted adult citizens between the ages of 18 and under 21. These restrictions include longer processing times and higher scrutiny, which presupposes citizens under 21 are not fully worthy of their Constitutional rights. GOA and GOF sued along with McRorey and Flores, who are both lawful citizens under 21, to enact a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) on this provision.
