After the Bruen decision required all states to become shall-issue states, New York attempted to block the ability for out-of-state residents to obtain conceal carry licenses. GOA, GOF, and the other plaintiffs sued New York to bring them in line with both Bruen and the Second Amendment of the Constitution. This case concerns the same legal questions as in CRPA v. LASD in California. GOA and GOF want to secure more wins in different courts so the Supreme court will be more likely issue a ruling mandating that all states must allow non-state residents the ability to keep and bear arms.
