New York Bruen Response Law

Antonyuk-v-Hochul/James

Shortly after the Supreme Court issued the Bruen decision (which required all states become "shall carry" instead of "may carry" when issuing conceal carry licenses), the state of New York passed the so-called "Conceal Carry Improvement Act" (CCIA) which made it illegal to carry a firearm nearly everywhere in public. GOA and GOF teamed up with several New York residents who want to exercise their Second Amendment rights in New York and requested the Court delay the CCIA from going into effect and ultimately scrap this violation of both Bruen and the Second Amendment.
