John Crump, Gun Owners of America, Gun Owners Foundation, Virginia Citizens Defense League, and Virginia Citizens Defense Foundation are suing Virginia over SB749 and SB727, arguing the new “assault weapon” and magazine bans violate Article I, Section 13 of the Virginia Constitution by banning the sale, transfer, manufacture, purchase, and public carry of commonly owned firearms and standard-capacity magazines.
